A quote from Atharva Veda says, ‘Unity can only come when there is better co-ordination and
mutual understanding in the society; when there is no friction of thoughts and clash of
ideologies. We should therefore follow the ideals established by the scholars and engage
ourselves in virtuous deeds.’ Ekta House takes the responsibility to lead and inspire others in
working towards valued goals. Ekta House children honour the intrinsic value of self, others and
the world they share. Integrity aligns their actions and values. The House proud fully acts with
purposeful reflection to uphold its vision and mission.
For education to be holistic and to develop Leadership among children these Rallians proved that
leadership comes not just from reading complex theories in voluminous books but also comes
from the ability to take initiatives.
The students of Ekta house set the focused and joyful tone of the year by presenting manifold
assemblies on multifarious topics that edifices students to confront the real life issues.
PRIMARY WING
Morning assemblies are a must thing to begin a day with in every school. The main purpose of a
morning prayer is to develop a feeling of unity among all the students and staff. The program has
the potential to nurture and to maintain a positive and healthy school culture. The school
assemblies inform the students about daily activities and program in a clear manner. It also
motivates the students with appreciation and rewards on performing well in academics and
curricular activities.
“Earth Day”
Earth Day was celebrated by the students of the Junior Wing with great zeal and fervor. Ekta
house students of class II assembled to develop awareness to protect the environment, to
sensitize the students about the importance of our mother earth. The students need to step
forward to make it greener and cleaner. The students presented the beauty of earth through a
dance performance on the song “Mother Earth. Mother Earth” followed by a song. The students
gave a message to all the spectators to think green and act green.
“Use of Golden Words and Art of Greeting”
Our world today is changing rapidly, and as casual as we have become in our lives, use of
golden words and art of greeting have become very essential. With the start of the new academic
session 2019-2020 children of Class – I conducted an assembly on “Use of golden words and art
of greeting”. It also increases the level of socialization in the students. The students spoke about
the significance of simple magical words like thank you, please and sorry. The mesmerizing
performance by students on the song “Thank you, sorry, please” left everyone spellbound. They
emphasized on the message “Try not only to become a person of success but try to become a
person of values.”
“Yoga -The Best Way to Health and Fitness”
The nature of yoga is to shine the light of awareness into the darkest corners of the body. Yoga
helps to create an overall harmony of body, mind and soul. Keeping this in mind, Ekta house
students of class V presented an assembly on Yoga. The students demonstrated the benefits of
yoga by a dance-based act ‘Yoganatyam’ in which the students started with a dance and later
demonstrated different yoga mudras. The assembly aimed at raising awareness and kindling a
passion for fitness and yoga among the students.
“Janmashtami”
“May the Natkhat Nand Lal always give you many reasons to smile.”
Festivals are characterized by colour, gaiety, enthusiasm, prayer and rituals. Janmashtami was
celebrated with all passion and zeal by the students of primary wing. The story of the birth of
Lord Krishna was presented through a skit by the students of class I. The students were dressed
as ‘gopis’ and ‘gwalas’. It was followed by a captivating dance performance on the song "Pyara
Kanhaiya".The students created the theme of Krishna Janmashtami in the form of Dance Drama
showcasing the birth of Lord Krishna and the opportunity to see the whole universe in Krishna’s
mouth. This was followed by the melodious Krishna hymns and songs which echoed all around
and enthralled everyone.
“Choose Your Role Model”
Having role models in our life is very important, and having good role models is more important,
as they influence what we do and how we turn out eventually. Positive role models influence our
actions and motivate us to strive to uncover our true potentials and overcome our weakness. Ekta
house students of class V presented an assembly and made everyone familiar with the necessity
to choose the role model. Focusing on the theme, the students also presented a play depicting the
life of Lata Mangeshkar followed by a beautiful song.
“Eco buddies”
Eco buddies are the people who take steps to protect our environment. Ekta house students of
class II tried to generate awareness about the environmental issues. An entertaining assembly
featuring the puppets and a skit that teaches kids to reduce, reuse, recycle and not to litter was
presented. The eco – heroes inspired everyone to come forward to battle against pollution,
deforestation, exploitation of natural resources etc. The students presented a dance performance
on the song “This is Our Earth.”
“The Festival of Lights”
The Junior wing, class 1 celebrated the festival of lights, Diwali in an environment friendly
manner with great zeal and enthusiasm. An array of activities was planned to lay emphasis on
celebrating an eco-friendly and green Diwali. A special assembly, highlighting the message of
celebrating Diwali responsibly without bursting crackers, was conducted by the tiny tots of class
I. The confident speakers enlightened the students about the significance of this festival. A
scintillating dance performance added much exuberance and joy to the occasion which was
followed by a short skit on celebrating “Eco- friendly Diwali. A pledge to celebrate Diwali in a
clean and green way was taken by the young Rallians to embark on their concern for the
environment and become the future ambassadors of saving the world.
“Responsibilities, Rights and Duties”
It’s essential to educate students about their responsibilities, rights and duties. Ekta house
students of class IV presented an assembly showcasing this. The students presented a skit to
make the children aware of their rights and duties and focused on our responsibilities towards
our nation and rights like freedom of speech, to take education etc. The skit was followed by a
dance performance on the song ‘Swachhta ki jyot.
“Santa is here, Spreading Cheer!
Christmas was celebrated with gaiety and merriment in the junior wing. The classrooms and the
school corridors wore a festive look, decorated with Christmas trees and bells. The students
joyously sang Christmas carols in classes. The teachers familiarized the students with the
significance of the festival. Soaking in the spirit of Christmas, our school organized Christmas
based activities such as designing a Christmas tree, Santa’s cap, Santa’s Face, hanging Santa and
Hanging Snow Man.
MIDDLE WING
‘Where there is unity there is always victory’
The morning assembly is a medium which brings offering, the fruit of observation and students
are provided prospects to share their ideas and views and overcome their fear of stage.
The main intention is to develop a feeling of unity among all the students and teachers. School
being the foundation of a student’s life, assemblies only help them gather a lot of energy to do
well and be good in their lives. The program has the potential to nurture and maintain a positive,
healthy school culture which binds everyone together. It helps us to cultivate a sense of
belongingness towards the school. All the activities carried out by the students and school staff
has a great influence in life.
“Foundation Day”
On April 24, 2019 all the students and staff members joined together to commemorate 12th
Foundation Day with great enthusiasm, fun and frolic. This is a special day when the entire
school family is privileged to reflect the beginning of the school and its development. It is a day
set aside to celebrate our history which revisits and reconnects with the continuous journey of
the school. We celebrate the joy of learning as we develop in mind, body and spirit, and we
celebrate the bond that we share with past and present members of the Ralli family. The day
began with the ‘hawan’ followed by lighting of the lamp by our honourable Chairman Mr
Surender Ralli, our respected director Mr. Sidharth Ralli and the admirable Principal Ms. Neha
Ralli. Soon after the choir, the cultural programs were show cased.
The students of classes VI, VII and VIII presented colourful dance drama named ‘Karma veer
Arjun’ based on an event from ‘Bhagvad Geeta’. It was mesmerising and astonishing
performance. The energy and passion of the performers was appreciated by all. Every corner of
the school was filled with enthusiasm.
“Living Healthy is Our Choice (YOGA)”
“Yoga is a light which once lit will never dim.
The better your practice, the brighter your flame.’’
Bringing together physical and mental discipline and to achieve a peaceful body and mind yoga
plays a pivotal role. The students of classes VIII staged an assembly to enlighten everyone about
the importance of YOGA. The assembly commenced with a motivational quote “YOGA is the
journey of the self, through the self, to the self’’ and a thought provoking speech. A yoga dance
‘ADIYOGI’ was displayed where they performed various Yoga asanas which motivated the
audience.
“Tolerance is the need of the hour’ (Hiroshima day)”
The students of class VII assembled on 6 August 2019 in a superb and flawless manner. The
proud declaration of the removal of Article 360 (a) from Jammu and Kashmir by the Central
government was communicated to the students. Informative speech on the remembrances of
Hiroshima day was delivered by the students along with a melodious song. A heart touching skit
was presented which was greatly admired by the gathering.
“Water Conservation”
Water conservation has become a need of the hour. The message of saving water was exhibited
by the students of class VII on 21 January 2020. The students displayed it with full zeal and
enthusiasm. They highlighted some amazing facts about water through Hindi and English
speech.A melodious song was sung by the choir group. Students enacted a small play on “SAVE
WATER” to motivate audience to join the mission of saving water. All the students came
forward for a pledge to ‘save water’ .The performance of the students was spectacular.
I have got many chances to participate in assemblies which gave me delight to prove myself in different genres .
SENIOR WING
‘The road to success has no shortcuts’
Ekta House firmly believes in the power of unity and feel that it is easier to get pass hardships
and challenges as a team. This gels us and keep us strong. The students set the tone and mood of
academic session by presenting an enlightening and enriching assembly on 8 April 2019.
Infusing a sense of optimism and motivating them to transcend the trials and tribulation of life
with a smile, the students of Ekta House impersonated the illustrious personality of, Nelson
Mandela(Vinay Sharma,XB),Malala Yousafzai(Nishita Sharma XB) and APJ Abdul Kalam
(ShashwatKotnala XB). The students shed light on their success story and substantiated the idea
that simplicity, generosity along with strong resolute power helps one to achieve the
unattainable, without resorting to any shortcut.
‘Mother’s Day’
A mother’s contribution in a child’s life cannot be measured or quantified. It can only be felt.
The unrequited love and support of a mother, was acknowledged through a special presentation
on 6th May,2019.The presentation in a circumlocutory manner touched the emotional chord of
one and all present. The speech presented was heart stirring. Students shared inspiring thoughts
on Women empowerment through a soulful song ‘sunosuno…..’ A beautiful acrostic poem gave
everyone an insight into the lovely feelings embedded deep inside their hearts. A touching short
skit was portrayed on the importance of mother, showcasing her sacrifices, selflessness and
greatness of a mother. The emotional chord of the audience was touched by a passionate dance
performance by Harshita of class IX-D.A beautiful message was conveyed on why and how one
needs to support and love one’s mother. It was focused on mothers’ contribution in exhibiting
her unconditional and sacrificial love, thus honouring her being in this world as a precious gift
from God.
‘Perseverance and determination: A Key to Battle against the odds’
‘Your level of success is determined by your level of discipline and perseverance’. An
inspirational presentation was conducted on 8th July,2019. The speech on ‘The conservation of
our National Heritage’ by Khushi Yadav of class IX-B and Raisha of class IX-D was an apt
example of an eye – opener for each of the listener
- ‘Winning is a State of Mind’
On 5th August,2019 the students of classes IX& X assembled to enhance the knowledge about
some great personalities and inspired the gathering to stand against the weaknesses within
ourselves.
‘The Greatness of a Culture can be found in its Festivities’.
Ekta House availed the responsibility of conducting a special celebration on 21st October,2019.
The festival of lights ‘Deepawali’ brought so much of enthusiasm in the students to participate in
and showcase it in a little different manner. A mesmerizing song ' Deep Jale Ghar ghar mein....'
was sung by students. The main attraction of the celebration was the dance performance by
Preyasi IX-A, Bhavya IX-A, Medha –IX B, Vrinda IX-B, Rahi IX-B and Harshita IX-D, which
enthralled the audience. The presentation also highlighted its true spirit of sharing our things
with poor people, who do not have means to celebrate this festival. The message of love, peace
and joy was well conveyed to all.
‘Time Management- Need of the hour’ , ‘ Yoga and Meditation’
The new year 2020 commemorated with another presentation in an enthusiastic manner on 22nd
January,2020. The students dealt with the message and importance of time management
effectively. Khushi Yadav of class IX-B shared her views on valuing time and spending it
judiciously specially during exam days. The importance of Yoga and Meditation was another
main topic for the day. As the entire world is struggling to find solution for ill-health and
sickness, the students of Ekta House found it in Yoga. The students displayed Suryanamaskar
and talked about the proven benefits of performing yogasana.
The group song performed by Ayushi of IX-C, Medha of IX-B, Eshal of IX-B, Vrinda of IX-B
and Adrija of IX-D was overwhelming and motivating. Raina of Class IX-A conducted a
meditation session with all the students to start the day with calm mind.
The gathering appreciated the efforts, coordination and concise presentation by the students.
