ASSEMBLIES CLASS XI

A school assembly is a congregation of all or part of a school for any variety of purposes, such as peculiar programs or communicating information on a daily or weekly basis. Among students it develops the feeling of being united and they understand the school in a better way and learn valuable lessons. The children realize their potentials and develop the confidence in them performing on the stage. This all helps the school in achieving the most difficult task of growing the students into a responsible, sensible and knowledgeable human beings who will not only earn his/her livelihood but will also add to the society

In lieu of this, regular assemblies were organized for the students where their fervor was worth observing. The flamboyant students readily took part in the areas of their interest and not only learnt the moral of the act but also learnt the skill of team work. The first and foremost assembly held was that of class XI A. Imagine, Invent, Inspire, conducted on 10- May- 2019, that depicted the struggles of the three scientists fighting against challenges to accomplish what they dreamt. The act persuaded the students to work hard and be consistent. This skit showcased a mother motivating her child by acquainting him with the struggles of renowned inventors in the world. This skit not only taught perseverance and determination to students but also told about the role of mothers in one’s life. Shreya Pradhan, Pratham Pandey, Aryan Anand, Hirday Tyagi, Rhythm Saxena and Vivek Kumar were some who instilled the environment with fervor and vitality.

The Assembly on the topic Impact Of Social Networking Sites On Students conducted on 2- August -2019, made a mesmerizing impact on student’s mind and they learnt the apt usage of technology and resources. Attitude Not Your Aptitude Determines Your Altitude, conducted on 1- November-2019 made the children aware of good and evil spreading around the world. This Assembly tried to explain them the indispensability of positive attitude along with the growing aptitude. Deepali, Aayushi and Sanya performed a wonderful dance which made the atmosphere exuberant.

Class XI B was no less in portraying their concealed flair. The feeling of unity and teamwork was quite distinguishable in their first assembly ‘Strive for progress, not perfection’ which spread the message that ‘Progress is important and not perfection’. They displayed an underachiever working hard to win her dream competition. The motivational song- ‘Hum Honge Kaamyab.’ rejuvenated everyone. Kritika Manral and Nikita Singh were allured by their teamwork, unity and dedication that made it good and presentable.

The real meaning of humanity was coached by ‘Religion is nothing but humanity’. The students presented the idea through a skit based on excerpts from the life of famous celebrity chef Vikas Khanna. It showed how Vikas Khanna is not only a successful chef, a cook book writer, restaurateur but a good humanitarian, too. The character was beautifully portrayed by Vibhavasu Rana. A speech on preserving Indian customs, tradition and heritage was delivered by Richa Bharti which helped the students to understand the need for safeguarding our Indian culture.

To spread the message of mutual respect, peace and tolerance for each other, the topic chosen was ‘Tolerance is need of the Hour’. Observing Hiroshima Day, Kritika Manral delivered an influencing speech. A motivational English song on the same topic by Khushi Verma, Manya Rawat and Divyansha Kherwal and a poem by Ojaswi Anand expressed the adversities faced by the survivors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings.

Friendship is a strong form of interpersonal bond than an association which includes virtues like kindness, love, sympathy, empathy, altruism, loyalty, generosity, forgiveness, mutual understanding and compassion. Such friendship was accentuated in the assembly ‘One for All, All for One’

The students depicted the motto through a skit based on a group of friends. The first part of the skit depicted ‘All for one’ presenting a group of friends assisting one of their friends when the financial problem prohibited her from pursuing her studies. It’s truly said that Friendship is an inexplicable relation.

Second part ‘All for one’ depicted the common botheration of garbage accumulation, being faced by all. The friends solved the problem with collective efforts of all society people and reinstated the feeling of Swachh Bharat among the students.

The experience was very imbibing and informative for the students. The skit could hold the interest of audience for a long time as it was a mixture of fun, love and teamwork.

The ardor of class XI C was equally evident in their performances. In order to celebrate Mother's Day, on 3rdMay 2019, they performed assembly entitled "Women:The Transformer, The Creator,The Nurture” with zest and enthusiasm and gaiety. The musical troupe of the class paid their tribute and gratitude to the mother who is a multi-access personality by presenting diverse musical renditions. Their performance striked the chord of the listeners, rendering them in an emotional state. The skit was initiated on an optimistic note depicting the childhood phase first, and then the teenage phase. The final phase depicted the modern complexities. A boy, being torn between his obligation to his wife and to his mother and ultimately due to family, sends his mother to old age home. The students beautifully captured the emotions of mother who had an unalterable love for his son and blindly trusted the actions of her son. Ultimately, she forgave him for all his misdeeds. 'A Mother's happiness is like beacon lighting up the future for her child.'

It is rightly said that 'Health Is Wealth', without the health an individual cannot attain holistic development. To promote and sensitize about healthy lifestyle, the students presented an assembly titled 'Meditation And Health' on 24 may 2019 with zest and enthusiasm. The girls of the class, with their grooves and moves and faces brimming with energy, performed aerobics. The assembly was succeeded by meditation and yogic asanas emphasizing on spiritual development and physical and mental balance. The assembly was transformed to a light mood by Jahnvi Sharma and Sakshi Nahata who presented situation based conversation highlighting that yoga and meditation together can overrule the trend of gym.

Soldiers are the building blocks of nation, who selflessly sacrifice their lives to guard our nation. The flag does not fly because wind moves it, but flies with the last breath of each soldier. "Our Soldier Our Pride" was the theme of the assembly conducted on August 9; 2019.It was followed by short lyrical poem recited by Prakriti Sinha which was a tribute to the soldiers who are emblematic to pride of glory. Further on, a skit was performed by the students that beautifully captured the essence of theme. The skit narrated that how soldiers do not let the emotions block their way and happily and peacefully lay down their lives, in order to provide sheltered and nested environment to citizens. The skit also showcased that how crooked politicians, the man in power, manipulatively take the credit of victory. A mesmerizing dance performance was also a part of assembly, which was highly applauded and appreciated by the audience.

A Special Assembly on Communal Harmony was held to celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The Students zealously performed the skit based on the life of Martin Luther king. The discrimination faced by the king was exhibited by the students which displayed the pathetic childhood of him. The perseverance and hard effort of the king brought in the changes and made him a powerful leader, guiding the country. The school choir presented a melodious song on the theme of ‘Unity in diversity’. The assembly ended in a happy note where all the students realized the need of unity and harmony for the growth of the country. This serene feature of morning assemblies fully accomplished the task of inculcating moral and ethical values in the students and they learnt to respect and appreciate what others have done for us. In annexation, it also developed the skill of Public Speaking in students which is an important motto of School Education.
