Shakti House, through the splendid launching rack of Morning Assemblies, served as an agent of
change, enkindling and developing the social qualities latent in every child. As ‘Shakti’ stands
for power, the vision of Shakti House is to exude pioneering spirit and leadership qualities,
promoting ambition, conviction and determination. As the colour of Shakti House embodies the
Red colour, which signifies the colour of the sun: a symbol of energy, power, passion and
spirit, radiating its vitalizing life-force into human beings. Likewise, the students of Shakti
House throughout the year presented multifarious theme-based assemblies to foster in the
students a sense of collective responsibility towards society and solidarity. The students of
Shakti House vividly sketched the idea of “dreaming big things with a heart as large as the
world. Placing your heart on things greater than this world can offer." The Morning
Assemblies furnish as a remarkable platform to unfold the true potential of every student honing
and refining their intrinsic talents.
PRIMARY WING
Earth Day
“A tree in a forest is where it should stay, leave it alone, let it grow all day”.
The students of class IV of Shakti House set the jubilant and focused tone of the academic year
by sensitizing the audience on the theme titled “Importance of Earth Day”. The importance of
the three R’s – “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle,” was presented effectively through a presentation of
a speech and poem. The students through their spectacular dance drama highlighted the fatal
effects of pollution and climate change. They also shared information on how Earth Day is
celebrated in various countries. A melodious Hindi song "ye dharti ye nadiya ye amber or ye
sitara” presented by the students was a passionate plea to make our mother earth a greener place
and infused the audience with sheer determination and optimism to safeguard the planet Earth.
Importance of Reading
“Whenever you read a good book, somewhere in the world a door opens to allow in more
light.”
The budding spirited Rallians of class II presented a value-based assembly on 'Importance of
Reading'. The students exhibited their zeal and elucidated the importance of reading by reciting a
mesmerizing poem on the same. The students also presented a skit which depicted how the
revolution in the technological world has engrossed the children nowadays and the reading habits
in this global village is steeply declining. The students urged to cultivate the habit of reading for
pleasure.
Teacher’s Day
“A good teacher is like a candle, it consumes itself to light the way for others.”
To acknowledge the immense contributions made by teachers who ignite the fire of knowledge
and learning in a student’s life, the students of class IV organized a special assembly. The
students honoured the legendary Indian scholar, philosopher and statesman Dr. S. Radhakrishnan
and our former President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam through their insightful words of
remembrance. The students through a spellbinding skit showcased the value of education and
paid the tribute and gratitude to the teachers who selflessly endeavour to enlighten and inspire
the generations and shape their lives.
Independence Day
“At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and
freedom.”
A special assembly was organized by students of Class-V on the occasion of Independence Day
to commemorate the sacrifice and struggle made by our freedom fighters. The students’ heart
was brimming with pride when they enacted a skit portraying the saga of national movement,
reminisced the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters to drive away Britishers from the nation.
The students presented a culturally and historically rich visual journey of Indian Heritage sites,
thus, illustrating various monuments in India. The euphoria of Independence Day drenched
everyone in the spirit of patriotism
Gandhi Jayanti
“By education, I mean an all-round drawing of the best in child and man in body, mind
and spirit”.
On the occasion of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Father of the Nation the students of Class-III
performed an assembly with zest and fervor. The students showcased and propagated the
principles and values of honesty and integrity as preached by Gandhiji. A noteworthy and
informative nukkad natak on the life history of Gandhiji was presented which instilled amongst
students the principles of humbleness, honesty, and sincerity. Gandhiji was an ardent believer in
the philosophy of “Cleanliness is next to Godliness”. To disseminate this mission of ‘Bapu’,
the students sang a song entitled “Sapna tha Bapu ka swach Bharat ho”. The beautiful melody
illuminated the mind of the students to partake in this initiative to make even the darkest corners
of India brighten with neatness and tidiness.
Christmas
Christmas- a time to share, enjoy, believe and celebrate…..
Christmas is the festival that inspires the spirit of sharing and caring.
Soaking in the spirit of Christmas the students of class I celebrated the festival with enthusiasm.
The students staged a skit based on the birth of Jesus Christ. They fervently enacted the roles of
mother Mary, father Joseph, the angels and the shepherds. A beautiful carol “Mary’s boy child
Jesus Christ was born on Christmas day” was sung by our young choir, getting everybody
into the spirit of Christmas. The students rocked the stage with their dance performance on
“Jingle Bells and We wish you a Merry Christmas” which captured the essence of Christmas
and touched the hearts of everyone present.
Keeping Safe during Monsoon
"The first drop of rain always bring a smile on our faces"
"Monsoon Season" revives our souls and fills the surroundings with the beauty of fresh greenery.
To acknowledge this blessed gift of God, students of Class I conducted a special assembly on the
theme- Keeping safe during Monsoon. The students welcomed this season by singing a musical
song "Rimjhim Rimjhim Baarish Aae". A skit was also staged which aimed to enlighten the
students about the effects of this season on health and body and guided students on the
precautionary measures, that was, how to keep yourselves safe during this season. A dance
performance on the song "Barso Re Megha Megha" added more spark and colour to the
assembly.
Personal Safety and Self Defence
“Self Defence is not only our right; it is our duty”.
Safety and Self Defence is a countermeasure that involves defending the health and well-being of
oneself from harm. Keeping this view in mind, the students of Classes I and III conducted an
assembly on the mentioned topic. To spread awareness and to sensitize the students about the
steps to be taken while in danger a nukkad natak on the Personal Safety and Taekwondo was also
performed. The safety rules at home, at school on the road, were displayed magnificently by the
budding actors. Furthermore, an enactment on the significance of “Safety and Self Defence”
made everyone understand the need to learn the safety measures and skills to defend one from
difficult situations.
Joy of Winter Season
“Winter is the season of Comfort, Good Food and Warmth”
To make students realize that each weather has its significance and they should relish a variety of
seasons that our beautiful country offers the students of Class-II presented an assembly on the
above-mentioned theme. A brief description of the winter season was given followed by a
fashion show representing winter attire in a very innovative and attractive manner. The tuneful
and melodious song sung by the students served as a source of warmth, comfort and
contentment. Enthralling dance performance on the occasion stupefied the spectators.
Middle Wing
Woman – The Creator and Goddess of Life
“Woman is the radiance of God. She is not a creature, she is a creator.”
To glorify the roles and responsibility of the mother and to pay gratitude for the unconditional,
relentless love and compassion bestowed by mothers on their children, the students of class VI
presented an assembly on May 07, 2019 with devotion and passion, on the occasion of Mother' s
Day. A skit depicting the love and sacrifice of a mother for her child was presented which
depicted that a mother's love for her child is pure and even greater than God. A melodious group
song was sung by the choir idolized the mother's love, establishing the image of the mother as
nurturer, caretaker and nourisher.
Monuments reflect our glorious past, preserve them or they won’t last.
“Monuments are the grappling-irons that bind one generation to another.”
To inculcate a sense of responsibility towards the preservation of our national monuments, an
assembly was conducted on July 23, 2019 by the students of Class VII. Monuments are
synonymous with the wealth and power of a country. The students beautifully showcased this by
a skit and also highlighted the need to conserve and preserve our National Heritage. The students
reiterated the fact that it is an inevitable need to preserve our past for the future. The students
conjointly took a pledge making all of us accountable for our actions and duty-bound for
preserving our historical relics and monuments.
Gandhi Jayanti: Remembering our Father of the Nation
“You must be the change; you wish to see in the world.”
To inculcate teachings and doctrines of Mahatma and disseminate Gandhian tolerant, pacifistic
and humanistic manners and spirit of peace and love amongst Rallians an assembly was
conducted on October 01, 2019, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. The students presented a
riveting skit on “Swacchh Bharat Abhiyan” which emphasized the need to take the various
government schemes to the villages and at grass root levels so that everyone gets ameliorated.
The skit also exhibited the reality of implementation of the government's Clean India Mission
and this demonstration was done impressively with a lot of conviction and firmness by the
students.
A Journey of Thousand Miles Begins with a Single Step
“Big things have small beginnings.”
The students had a splendid opportunity to learn the most important lesson “A Journey of
Thousand Miles Begins with a Single Step” on December 17, 2019 in the assembly conducted by
the students of Class VII. A thought-provoking and intriguing skit was enacted to emphasize the
importance of each step in building a prosperous future. The thought of the day and skit perfectly
summarized the value of persistence and perseverance.
Impact of Social Media on Students
“Don’t use Social Media to impress people; use it to impact people.”
To emphasize on the productive uses of social media, the students of class VIII conducted
an assembly on January 28, 2020. The thought of the day asserted that how modernity has taken
a toll on people and face to face interaction between people has been reduced drastically. Thus,
the students emphasized on the importance of one to one interaction among people rather than
being too friendly on social media. An informative speech on the advent of social media was also
presented. The assembly also witnessed a spirited debate on the pros and cons of social media.
Students gave powerful arguments on the positive and negative aspects of social media. The
assembly concluded with a positive note about the usage of social media with discretion.
Senior Wing
One Earth - One Life One Chance Lets’ take care of it
"Mother Earth is the culmination of multiple and diverse energies, which is brought
together to create a rich aesthetic experience with a message of harmony and co-existence.''
To dedicate a day to Mother Earth, the students of Shakti House of Classes IX and X presented
an assembly on April 22, 2019. The students collectively presented an impressive skit which
demonstrated the catastrophic effects of humans trying to modify nature for their own selfish
needs and enunciated the need of the hour to keep the environment green and pollution-free. The
students also emphasized that a small unified step by humankind can reap giant revolution. The
dance sequence by the dancing stars on the theme "Earth ! We are in it together ..." exhibited the
harm caused to our environment by mankind for their personal benefit, the ill effects of
environmental pollution on living beings and showcased the solutions to protect and preserve the
green planet. The assembly stirred the students into action which propelled them to take a
pledge.
Self Discipline is a Best Discipline
“The first and best victory is to conquer self.”
On 20th May 2019, students staged a riveting assembly on the theme titled ‘Self Discipline is a
Best Discipline’. The students enacted a motivational skit based on self-discipline. They
propagandized that self discipline endows you with the ability not to give up after failure and
setbacks, develop self-control, resist temptations and fosters skills to ensure optimum use of
time. The speeches by the students of Shakti House accentuated the perspective and strategies to
combat temptations, jealousy, anger and other hidden emotions and how indispensable it is for
the folks to deal it judiciously. The essence of the Assembly was beautifully captured by the
melodious rendition on ‘O re Manva Tu Toh Bawra Hai’
Not all Super Heroes wear Capes (Kargil Vijay Diwas)
“World Peace must develop from inner peace. Peace is not just mere absence of violence.
Peace is a manifestation of human compassion.”
The students of Shakti House conducted an assembly on 22 July 2019 to commemorate and
honour the sacrifices laid by soldiers on Kargil Victory Day, which falls on 26 July every year.
Kargil Vijay Diwas is both pride inducing moment and a prick in the hearts of millions. The
students of Shakti House presented a musical dance drama portraying the incidents that led to
Kargil War and how India emerged victoriously. The students articulated about the importance of
peace and paid homage to the soldiers who left for the heavenly abode during the war. The
audience was stupefied and mesmerized by the scintillating dance performances depicting
patriotic fervour and the strong feeling of unity and brotherhood amongst the people of our
country. The dance imbued a feeling of patriotism and oneness amongst the students for their
nation. The soul-stirring lyrics brought out the true essence of unity in diversity and patriotism.
