“Education is the foundation upon which we build our future.”
By attending RIMUN, we are building knowledge, skills and relationships
needed to build a better global future.”
Ralli International School proudly hosted RIMUN 2025 with the objective of nurturing
students' critical skills such as public speaking, research, diplomacy, and leadership. Model
United Nations is an educational simulation where students assume the roles of country
delegates, engaging in rigorous debates and negotiations that mirror actual UN proceedings.
While the classroom provides the foundation of knowledge, platforms like MUN empower
students to internalize, apply, and express that learning through speeches, caucusing, and
resolutions. RIMUN thus serves as an essential extension of the academic journey, where
learning is both lived and experienced.
Over the course of two transformative days, the school campus resonated with the energy,
ideas, and diplomacy of approximately 130 young delegates from Grades IX-XII. The
inaugural ceremony commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the reverend
Principal Ma’am Ms Neha Ralli and esteemed Director Sir Mr Siddharth Ralli, symbolizing
the illumination of wisdom and knowledge. This was followed by inspirational addresses by
the Honourable Chairman Sir Mr Surinder Ralli and Principal Ma’am, setting the tone for the
dynamic deliberations ahead.
The Secretary General officially declared the conference open, ushering delegates into five
diverse and intellectually rich committees:
• UNHRC
• UNSC
• AIPPM (All India Political Parties Meet)
• HARRY POTTER (Fantasy Committee)
• IP (International Press)
Each committee delved into pressing global and thematic issues:
UNHRC:Addressed the systemic violation of women’s rights, gender-based violence,
and the exploitation of minors in light of the Taliban’s resurgence in Afghanistan.
UNSC:Focused on counter-terrorism efforts and the complexities of global politics,
with a special emphasis on Pakistan’s stance in the FATF and its INSC seat.
Harry Potter Committee:Took a fantastical yet profound dive into the rights of
magical creatures, tackling issues of exploitation and weaponization in magical
conflicts.
AIPPM:Debated the influence of politics on intellectual freedom, critically
examining ‘Free to Think’ reports and modern-day governance.
International Press:Captured the spirit of the event through vivid caricatures, artistic
reporting, and satire—adding wit, humour, and depth to the sessions.
Day two culminated in a celebration of talent and dedication during the awards ceremony.
Students were honoured under various categories such as Verbal Mention, Special Mention,
High Commendation, Best Delegate, and Best Journalist. Our accomplished alumni also
returned to RIMUN in esteemed roles such as Chief Advisor, Executive Hosts, and Board
Members, and were warmly felicitated by the school leadership.
Throughout the conference, students honed their abilities in critical thinking, problem-
solving, public discourse, and political analysis. They learned the nuances of collaborative
negotiation, how to propose effective solutions, and how to lead with both intellect and
empathy.
RIMUN 2025 was not just an event—it was a celebration of youth leadership, diplomacy,
and the power of ideas. It empowered the Rallians to rise as global citizens and thoughtful
changemakers. Truly, it was a memorable and enriching experience, planting seeds of
growth that will flourish far beyond the conference room.
