"Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self." - The Bhagavad Gita
The International Yoga Day was celebrated with great zeal and spirit at the school premises on June
21, 2025, in the school premises. The event aimed to spread awareness about the importance of yoga
in maintaining physical and mental well-being.
The celebration began with a serene yoga session by the physical education faculty, followed by a yoga
session led by our respected Chairman Sir. He not only demonstrated a series of yoga asanas but also
enlightened the students and attendees about the immense benefits of incorporating yoga into daily life,
such as improving concentration, reducing stress, enhancing flexibility, and leading a balanced
lifestyle.
The yoga session witnessed active participation from all the faculty members, non-teaching staff, and
support staff, who collectively performed various asanas including Tadasana, Vrikshasana,
Suryanamaskar, Bhujangasana, and Pranayama. The synchronized performance reflected unity and
commitment towards health and mindfulness.
Following the yoga session, a Yoga Quiz Competition was organized for the students. The quiz
featured multiple rounds, including a Rapid Fire Round, testing the participants' knowledge about the
history, significance, and techniques of yoga. The quiz encouraged awareness, built excitement, and
highlighted the importance of understanding the roots of this ancient practice. The students participated
with great excitement and demonstrated commendable knowledge and presence of mind.
The winners were applauded for their efforts and were presented with appreciation certificates and
medals.
Overall, the celebration of International Yoga Day 2025 served as a perfect reminder of the need to
prioritize health and wellness. The event successfully instilled the values of discipline, inner peace, and
fitness among the school community. The event concluded with a sense of calm, pride, and unity among
all participants, reinforcing the message that “Yoga is not just about touching your toes; it is what
you learn on the way down.”
